On Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the village of Kuzehrash, Salmas County, West
Azerbaijan Province, a man strangled his daughter to death due to her acquaintance
with a young man from the village. The victim, named Jane Pirnejad, was 25 years old
and the mother of two children, aged four and six. According to Harana, a source close
to the family confirmed that this femicide was incited by a relative after private images of
Jane were circulated.
