It
also calls into question the role of patriarchal attitudes and improper cultural education
in perpetuating such violence. Furthermore, the failure to address the role and
responsibility of government institutions in preventing or enabling these events reflects
the lack of legal and social support for women.
The Islamic Republic’s laws not only fail to protect women from honor-related killings but
also, according to these laws, a father is not subject to punishment for killing his own
children.
Ultimately, these tragedies serve as a warning to reconsider policies and support
programs, urging a deeper investigation into the root causes of gender-based violence.
Instead of simplifying these issues by labeling them as “family disputes,” officials must
address and tackle the underlying patriarchal structures and actively support women’s
rights.

StopHonorKillingsCampaign

DomesticViolence

DonyaHosseiniDalahuKermanshah

AWomanIsNoOne’sHonor

Follow news in the Stop honor Killings Campaign Telegram group:
https://t.me/stophonorkilling
Support the Stop Honor Killings Campaign with Your Donations via PayPal:
https://paypal.me/stophonorkillings?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US

Stop honor Killings Campaign

On Monday, February 17, 2025, a 23-year-old woman named Seyedeh Donya Hosseini, from the village of Beryakhani in the Dalahu district and residing in the Dolatabadneighborhood of Kermanshah, was killed by her father, Seyed Yadollah...

[5,6
369,375,21,305,284,172,199
