About us

In the light of the increased and systematic violence against women in Iran and the murder of
women and girls by men in the family to protect the family “honor” and the inaction of the
judiciary system and the support of the sharia law of such murders, a number of women’s rights
activists and gender equality advocates have set up a campaign to “Stop Honor Killings” in Iran.
The Campaign to “Stop Honor Killings” in Iran is an independent body and its activities are
initially centered on two issues: the change in the law and culture-building.
The Campaign to “Stop Honor Killings” calls on all awakened consciences to join hands with us
to put an end to the “Honor killings” in Iran and to shout loudly, the women are no one’s
“honor”. No one is anyone’s “honor”.
