Killing of a Woman in Falavarjan Marks the Eighth Honor Killing in three Days

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, a 42-year-old woman was killed by her husband in one of
the gardens in Falavarjan County, part of Isfahan province. According to a report by the
Harana News Agency, the killer tied his wife’s hands and feet to a chair in his private
garden and suffocated her with tape around her neck. After his arrest, the suspect
stated his motive for the murder as “family disputes.”
The husband brought his wife to his private garden due to disagreements with her. After
tying her hands and feet to a chair, he suffocated her.
Upon his arrest, the killer admitted that his motive for killing his wife was because he
had remarried without her knowledge, leading to disputes with her. After arguments with
her, he decided to kill her. As is customary in police reports, the identities of the killer
and victim have not been revealed.
Eight “honor killings” have occurred in the past three days.
