Indonesia: Rosmini binti Darwis, 16-killed by her brothers,June 2020
Rosmini binti, was ‘hacked to death with a machete by her two brothers after confessing to an affair with a 45-year-old relative’. She was killed on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia, in a so-called honor killing. Her brothers, Rahman, 30, and Surianto, 20, have been charged with her murder. The local police chief, Wawan Sumantri, said: “the suspects said that they were outraged when their sister admitted on having sex with a man who is their distant relative.”
