Killing of a 25-Year-Old Woman by Her Drug Addict Husband

On June 8, 2024, a 25-year-old young woman was killed by her husband with multiple
stab wounds in Tehran.
According to the Tehran-based newspaper Hamshahri, the 29-year-old suspect was
arrested after the murder and stated that his motive was his wife’s refusal to financially
support his drug purchases.
In his interrogation, he claimed, “Because of family disputes, I had left home but would
come back every few days to get money from my wife to fund my drug purchase. On the
night of the incident, I went to my wife again to get money. She worked in people’s
homes, and it was difficult for her to spend her hard-earned money on me. We argued
over this, and unintentionally, I committed the murder.”
