Homa Hajipour lived in Finland with her two children for several years. She returned to Iran to the city of Sardasht in Kurdistan to file for a legal divorce. On July 26, her husband Majid Bitoshi, shot her with 20 bullets and killed her. In Homa’s patriarchal culture, a woman asking for a divorce is considered disgraceful and an insult to masculinity.

Respect women must be thought at schools. Both women and men should learn from early age to respect themselves and each others.
Unless government support their Citizens, and implement laws to safeguarding women and children, no change will happen. Those who have power to practice such support are responsible.
