The killing of a Woman in Ahvaz by an Ahvaz’s Famous Athlete

According to the information published on Maryam Dehkordi’s Twitter account, on January 31st, 2023, Ali Khajawi, a famous athlete of Ahvaz, killed his wife Zohra Landi and her brother Yahya by shooting several bullets. Ali, Zohra’s husband, committed suicide after killing his wife and brother-in-law. So far, the police have not commented on this incident.

Zohra Landi, a young make-up artist (hairdresser) living in Ahvaz, married Ali Khajawi, one of the well-known bodybuilders of this city, two months ago.

 While more than 4 months have passed since the #Woman_Life_Freedom revolutionary movement, the killing of women by the men of the family continues. In the last 3 days alone, we have witnessed the killing of 4 women by their husbands or ex-husbands.

Anti-women laws are one of the factors for the increase feminicide and “honor” killings.
